Q&A: Exercise/weight lifting question?

Question by bemybeach: Exercise/weight lifting question?
Hi,

So I’m a girl who decided she has very little upper body strength and I am trying to change that.

My goals are to be able to a decent number of pushups and pull ups in a few months.

I’m not really sure how to go about this and was wondering if anyone knew about a good website/workout forum who could answer my questions. Or if anyone knowledgeable in this subject is reading this, you could just tell me what you think yourself. lol

Thanks for your time!

pull ups are hard and hard to get better at because there isnt many bars around to let you practice but pushups you can do anywhere. If you are watching tv do five to ten pushups every time there is a commercial break. Doesnt sound like a lot but watch tv for an hour and you have just done like 50 or 60. Also doing handstands against a wall will strengthen you in no time. Just do a handstand against a wall and stay up until your arms start to hurt. After a week or so it will seem to get easier and thats when u start repositioning your arms or attempt to do “pushups” while doing a handstand. Seems impossible but after a month i can do like 8 of them. Hope this Helps. Good Luck
