weight lifting…………………..?

Question by Stan: weight lifting…………………..?
When im lifting weights (i use heavy wights that i can only lift about 8 or 10 times before each set for muscle gain) my left wrist kinda hurts, like it needs to click, it only happens sometimes, it doesn’t happen with my right wrist when im lifting… Is this because im lifting too much with my left hand, coz my left arm is weaker then my right, it cant lift as much.

Just out of interest, how much KGs is a good weight to be able to lift for a average male?

Cheers

The heavier you lift (especially free weights), the more taxing it becomes on your hands and wrists b/c it’s mostly bone and not a lot of muscle.

You might try doing some wrist exercises to strengthen them (like reverse bicep curls) and you also might look into some wrist guards. They are bands that just wrap around your wrists and velco. It helps stabilize them.

And about weight, I live in America and I don’t know what KGs are. (of course) Sorry!
