weightlifting vs cardio. What do they burn? lifting burns today’s calories and cardio burns yesterday’s fat?

Question by just_askin: weightlifting vs cardio. What do they burn? lifting burns today’s calories and cardio burns yesterday’s fat?
My question:
What is the difference between weightlifting and cardio when it comes to burning calories/fat.
I am bodybuiding, so I eat heavy. I certainly do not waste those calories on cardio. I need them to gain weight.
Then I need cardio to lose my fat at the same time!
I believe weightlifting uses the calories I took the same day, and cardio (aerobic exercises) burn the fat that is already stored in the body.
Please tell me that cardio will not use up the calories that I ate today. Please tell me that it will target essentially on burning my body fat rather than burning my today’s calories. If this was true, I could kill two birds with a stone. If it’s untrue then there would be no point in eating big since I’m wasting it at the end of the day.

Answer by #4 All Day
cardio will burn both. besides, if youre trying to be a bodybuilder, the fat coming off has to be your main priority, so dont worry as much about muscle gain until your bodyfat has gone down.

hold it. it is somewhat true, but not really. you still need to eat big, though. big, not fat. EAT HEALTHY OR YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED IN BODYBUILDING.
