Lifting weights without building bulk?

Question by Kiki: Lifting weights without building bulk?
I’m comfortable with my body, but I do have a little bit of arm flab, and I was just wondering, what is the best amount of weight to lift to get rid of the flab, without building bulky muscles?
Thanks 🙂
Oh, and I already eat a pretty healthy diet (almost no junk food ever), so please don’t tell me that it’s ALL in the dieting. 🙂

Heavy weights and less repetitions. You want to be failing at no more than 10 reps. Don’t be misguided by that myth about less weight and more reps toning. All that does is increase endurance by fatiguing slow-twitch muscle fibers.

Whether bulking or toning, you should be doing more weight and less reps. You won’t bulk up; females cannot get bulky from weightlifting without the use of steroids, as they have only 1/10 the amount of testosterone as males.
