To lose weight you should lift light. Why?
Numerous repetitions of light weight burn up more calories than fewer repetitions with heavy weights.
When you’ve achieved your desired weight then start lifting heavy. This will help ensure the weight you gain is muscle instead of fat.
If you’re not addressing your diet as well then it really won’t matter how you’re lifting, will it?
