A question about my weight lifting routine?

Question by Wayne: A question about my weight lifting routine?
So i have just started getting back into lifting weights and Monday i did Deadlift, squats, bicep curl, shoulder press all 3×10 i did them slow enough so it all took about an hour.

So obviously its not good to do these exercises again on Tuesday but can i do it Wednesday or should i only work out those muscle groups once a week. My training days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Can i dod this routine 3 times a week or is it too much?

I used a barbell with 30kg on it is this enough weight? Towards the end of each exercise it did get very difficult to finish especially with the bicep curl that was to complete failure in every set

I heard about 1 rep max? can someone please help me calculate this and then tel me the weight i should be lifting to gain size and strength and also the number of sets and reps i should be doing

I lifted 30kg at 3×10 so 30 reps for each exercise so what is my 1 rep max, what weight should i lift and what reps and sets of that weight for size and strength. Thanks to anyone who answers.

In my experience it is better to rest those muscles a day before hitting them again. You could do that routine Mon, Wed, Fri, but if I can make a suggestion why not add a bench press. That way you’ll have all the power and strength exercises covered. If you feel you need a little extra bicep work, add it on Wed..
As far as the weight being enough, if you are able to complete the reps you set, than it’s okay for now.
To calculate your one rep max, go to www.bodybuilding.com, and enter one rep max. They can calculate it by what you are lifting it now.
