Going from no exercise to mild workouts every day, will it make a difference?
Question by Calypso: Going from no exercise to mild workouts every day, will it make a difference?
I’m 15, 5’4″ and 140 lbs and I’d like to tone up some and lose a little fat. I’m usually pretty lazy when it comes to working out, and I’m too self-conscious to walk/jog around the neighborhood. However, lately I’ve been keeping a log of what I eat (I’m a vegetarian, and now I’m getting dressing-free salads for lunch every day and having fruit and yogurt for breakfast) and the small workouts I do every day. I’d like to start running up and down my stairs for cardio, and I’m lifting dumbbells and doing squats, stuff like that. It’s not much, but if I keep up with it, will I make a dent in my goal?
I’d like to add that I’m always on the Internet with questions for Google, and all the rules and contradictions I’m seeing for all these different exercises and eating habits are making me nervous.

ok, all you need to know is that what you’re doing is going to make a difference, and it will help. Don’t pay so much attention to what people say on the internet- you need to do what’s best for you, and if that’s what makes sense for you then do it 🙂 everyone is different, and that includes what workouts and diets (food, not fads) work for them. you’re doing great with what you’ve got going, just stick to it and try and have fun with it 🙂 good luck
