when you lift heavy weights you can alot of Weight in muscle can you lift light weight and gain strength but lose weight?

Yes, for sure.
Basically, it goes like this…….
Muscle strength is dependant on how much your lifting and Muscle size is dependant on your diet.
So muscle strength and muscle mass(size) are 2 different things. You can still have the strength without the size if thats what your aiming for.

What you need to do is lift moderate weights(high reps) to gain muscle strength and definition in your muscles, but dont have a massive intake of protein, cos protein is what makes your muscles grow after a workout.
(Lifting heavy weights with low reps builds the size of muscles, and lifting light-moderate weights with high reps doesnt increase muscle size).

ALSO….

aswel as lifting heavy weights, do cardio, cos doing cardio helps burn the muscle size, so it stumps the muscle from growing too big, but you wont lose the strength.
