    As a religious follower of the anaerobic weights routine, after 10 years of hard workouts my body and joints have definitely suffered. While looking for a new practice I found and purchased this book. I was primarily interested in the possibility that the title could actually be a reality so I committed to digesting the material in the hopes that the author was correct. After finishing the guide and implementing the program exposited by the trainer, I can wholly attest that this guide, as controversial as it may be, definitely works. For the past few weeks I have followed the plan exposited and have already seen a dramatic change in not only my appearance, but my fitness levels. I realize now that doing just weights has stunted my reaction ability and movement; now, sticking to calisthenics, I have already become more lithe and dexterous, something I haven’t experienced in years.

    The author himself is a real character. Not only is this book informative, but the writing is downright hilarious because the writer is brutally candid. There are no fillers or fluff and you will hear the info you need as if it came right out of his mouth. I found his style tremendously refreshing by comparison to the robotic writing of most training texts. Also, the vivid color illustrations were perfect for letting me know exactly how to do the exercises promoted in the routines. Now that I’m on this program I can’t say enough how much more liberty I have. I now don’t go to the gym, I don’t take expensive supplements, my body is already beginning to look fantastic, and my new eating style has proven its value without question.

    In summary, if anyone else is looking for a superb manual for getting into shape without falling prey to gym marketing and confining yourself to ages old half-truths, then this book is for you. I’ve no doubt that it will remain a reference in my personal library for a long time to come.
